It's about time Amy made it onto the grid! ✨ Amy It's about time Amy made it onto the grid! ✨ Amy came to me for alterations on her gorgeous Halfpenny London wedding dress, and what a transformation it was. I downsized the skirt around 10 inches, taking in through the side seams and centre back. The bodice also needed significant alterations to achieve the perfect fit, and we completely restyled the back, replacing the tie fastening with a button closure to provide more support, structure and security. There may also have been some rather ingenious bust taping involved to achieve exactly the right level of support. As if that wasn't enough, Amy also commissioned me to create the most incredible bespoke cape. Sparkling, dramatic and completely worthy of its own moment in the spotlight. Receiving these photographs brought the biggest smile to my face. After months of fittings, pinning, problem-solving and perfecting every detail, seeing it all come together so beautifully is always such a special moment. A little bit of magic behind the scenes - creating A little bit of magic behind the scenes - creating Olivia's dress ✨️ I think you'll often hear that a bespoke wedding dress starts with a sketch, but that’s not the case for me as a designer. It starts with a feeling. A vision. Yours and mine. Olivia’s vision was oversized sleeves, a cowl back and a cape instead of a veil. With a little creative direction, I brought all of Olivia’s ideas together (and more) to create her dream dress. The wow factor was the cape, inspired by the colours of spring and the sentimental floral artwork from her stationery. A hint of subtle colour turned into a bold statement piece that was completely unique. It was described as “a work of art” on the wedding day. Olivia’s dress not only encompassed all of her hopes and dreams, it also embodies everything I’m about as a designer. A timeless silhouette. Hints of colour. Floral elements. Personality.
